Our story

Where Every Meal Brings People Together

Sangam — meaning 'confluence' in Sanskrit — was born from a simple belief: that authentic Indian food, made with care, has the power to unite people across any occasion.

How Sangam Began

Sangam Catering started in a home kitchen in Portland, Oregon, where founder Priya Sharma began cooking for friends, neighbors, and small community gatherings. Word spread quickly — not just about the food, but about the warmth and hospitality that came with every meal.

What began as weekend catering for local events grew into a full-service catering operation serving Portland, Vancouver WA, and the surrounding region. Today, Sangam brings the same home-kitchen care to corporate lunches, weddings, cultural celebrations, and everything in between.

We source fresh ingredients daily, grind our own spice blends, and cook every dish to order. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just honest, flavorful Indian food that honors the traditions it comes from.

What We Stand For

Authenticity first

Every recipe traces back to regional Indian kitchens. We don't adapt flavors to be 'safe' — we bring the real thing.

Fresh, daily prep

Ingredients are sourced fresh each morning. Spice blends are ground in-house. Nothing sits in a freezer overnight.

Hospitality in every detail

From the first inquiry to the last plate cleared, we treat every event like it's our own family gathering.

Community roots

We're proud to be part of the Portland and Vancouver WA communities — sponsoring cultural events and supporting local causes.
